At Home

As nervous as we were to bring Adelyn home, things have been going very well. Amanda and I are very tired, but we are managing to keep Addy fed and her diaper changed. We even gave her a bath this morning. She does a pretty good job of sleeping between feedings, so we're able to mainly sleep and occasionally get a couple of things done before it's time to start again.

Sidney is also doing very well with her new friend. She likes to smell her (she may be the only one who enjoys a dirty diaper) and she's always curious what we're doing with her. She is getting more used to the crying and pretty much slept through it last night. Sidney likes to try to share her bone and even curled up next to Adelyn's papasan chair tonight while we were eating dinner.

We do have pictures of all of this, but we haven't had time to sit down and take them off the camera yet. I have exhausted the stash of pictures Auntie Angie took and sent to us, so it may be a little while before we have a new picture.

O' Christmas Tree..

The hospital does a monthy bulletin board where they post each newborn's name and stats. Being that Addy is a December baby, this months theme was a christmas tree and ornaments.

Adelyn Elizabeth

Adelyn Elizabeth Sutter was born on December 15, 2008 at 6:35pm. She was 6lbs. and 19 3/4 inches. She is healthy and mostly happy and eating like a champ. Amanda is doing really well too. And, most importantly, dad didn't pass out during delivery!

39 weeks and counting

Against my better judgement, here is a picture of me at 39 weeks. I am due next Tuesday on the 9th. If the baby decides to come late, my doctor would only let me go over by one week. So it should be safe to say that I have no more than two weeks left. :) I guess only the baby knows.

Overdue...

Although I am not overdue, (I have 7 days left- December 9th) we are overdue for some new pictures! I don't know where the time went. Adam and I are ready and excitedly waiting for the baby to come. This weekend my dad gave us a beautiful cradle that he hand crafted! Thank you so much dad!! It is gorgeous and I could not ask for a more special place for the baby to sleep when he/she arrives home.

Also, my wonderful and very thoughtful co-worker, Sue Hansen, hand-made this adorable sweater and hat for the baby. It is the cutest outfit I have ever seen! Thank you so much Sue! We can't wait to put the baby in it.

Below are just a few of the items we received for the many baby showers we were given.
