The Countdown Begins

The countdown to the first day of the school year has begun. Not that I am excited to go back to school, more like counting down the days that Addy and I can spend the entire day doing as we wish. We had a wonderful summer full of playdates, concerts in the park, gym and swim at the YMCA, and playing with Mycah and Auntie. Addy asks for Auntie and Mycah from the minute she gets up until the minute she goes to bed! We visited Bay Beach, the Milwaukee County Zoo, and the Resch Aquatic Center. Below are a few pictures of the fun adventures we had this summer.

Fun in the sun at Auntie's

Adelyn and Mycah enjoyed playing in the water at Angie and Tyler's. They took advantage of the little swimming pool and the sprinkler system. :)

Fortunately Addy had her swimsuit on this time. Two other times she opted to go in the pool with her regular clothes on.

We had our second annual Shrimp Boil on the Fourth of July with Angie and Tyler and their neighbor's Chris and Michelle. The kids had a great time playing together, as they did almost everyday this summer.
The more the merrier!

Nothing like sharing some watermelon on a hot day!

Almost as tall as the giraffe

Checking out the lions.

Tired out after a long day at the zoo.

Bay Beach
Angie, Mycah, Adam, Adelyn and I went to Bay Beach. Mycah did a great job of helping Addy get buckled up and reminded her to stay sitting during the rides. They had a blast!

Addy seemed to develop a slight interest in using the potty. She doesn't really know what to do after she sits on it, but I am sure that will come along soon enough. Here she is practicing sitting on it in the hallway! :)

Here Adelyn got herself dressed to go to Concert in the Park. Although she didn't need her hooded sweatshirt because it was 80 degrees outside.

Every Wednesday Mycah and Addy enjoyed eating a picnic lunch, playing on the playground, listening to live music, and they even got to sit in the firetruck. .

Addy, Cadence, and Reid even got to play together a little. Addy loved to spend time covering Reid up with her baby blanket, even though it was 80 degrees.

Addy loves to snuggle with her buddy Rex.
